Lee Constable takes five to chat with a fascinating line-up of guest speakers and uncovers fun facts about robots, games and tech in a series of fun and fast interviews. Guest speakers include Professor Michael Milford from Australian Centre for Robotic Vision, design expert and gamification researchers Doctor Fitz-Walter, Artistic Associate from Dead Puppet Society Helen Stephens and Samuel Ashcroft and Lindsay Watt from RAWrobotics.

Professor Michael Milford

Professor Michael Milford is a leading robotics researcher conducting interdisciplinary research at the boundary between robotics, neuroscience and computer vision, and a multi-award winning educational entrepreneur. His research models the neural mechanisms in the brain underlying tasks like navigation and perception in order to develop new technologies, with a particular emphasis on challenging application domains where current techniques fail such as all-weather, anytime positioning for autonomous vehicles. He currently holds the position of Professor at QUT, as well as Australian Research Council Future Fellow, Microsoft Research Faculty Fellow and Chief Investigator on the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision.

Dr Zac Fitz-Walter

Dr Zac Fitz-Walter is a gamification geek and the co-founder of the app development company at Eat More Pixels. Zac previously researched and taught at the Games Research and Interaction Design Lab at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). His PhD looked at how games could be used to motivate us in everyday life.

Lindsay Watt

Lindsay Watt is final year Electronics and Software Engineering student at QUT. He is a Co-Founder and Lead Electronics Designer at RAWRobotics and has experience developing electronics and embedded systems for robotics.

Samuel Ashcroft

Samual Ashcroft is a Mechanical Engineer (Honours) student and QUT alumnus. He is the Co-Founder and Lead Mechanical Designer at RAWRobotics with a wealth of experience in industry, manufacturing, education and training.

Helen Stephens

Helen is the Artistic Associate of the Dead Puppet Society (DPS) where she works as a performer, director and facilitator of visual theatre and puppetry workshops. In this capacity she worked as the Puppet Coach for The Wider Earth (Dead Puppet Society & Queensland Theatre) and has travelled throughout remote Queensland devising puppets shows for students of the Mount Isa School of the Air.
